Flak Riot has been Cancelled.
Orders for the book were very low. I think a retailer in Montana ordered a copy.
A huge thanks to all of you who gave the book a shot.
I am going to release the series as a graphic novel through another publisher in 2006.

Dude, so sorry to hear that.
I am glad your supporters (I fall into that group) will get to experience all of the Flak Riot goodness.
It's been so tough lately with all the great books that don't get the sales they deserve.
It's been tough as a creator, but also as a fan of excellent comics.
And for the record, I will be picking up any future Mike O'Hare projects as well.
It was nice to meet you in San Diego. |

No way, seriously? I enjoyed issue 1, and it sounded like a lot of others here enjoyed it.
Well that sucks... |

| So very sorry to hear this, I really enjoyed the first issue. It was a good, fun plot, the characters were interesting and the art and colors were gorgeous. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for the GN and any other projects. |

Wow.
I would think this would have sold.
Cool title. Cool color art. Cool concept. What's not to like?
I swear I just don't understand the comic industry. I can't believe I'm still trying to make something in it.
Good luck releasing it as a trade - perhaps that's the better market. Pamphlets can only do so much, and less and less readers are out there now. And Retailers remain scared to order a book they've never seen months in advance, meanwhile those same months the next issue needs to come out. Like they want to see if you can walk on water before believing in you.
Just bad all the way around. Sorry to hear this. _________________ "Stylistically excessive"

Sorry to hear that Mike. It was a great book. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL artwork. I know my retailer had like 10 copies out on the shelves when I picked mine up. they usually are really good about carrying Image books though, ordering at least a couple of just about everything. Good luck with the graphic novel man! I'll be waiting patiently |

Very sorry to hear this. I definitely liked the first one a lot. And the story seemed so cool and full of possibilities. Why is it always the good ones that die young?
Good luck in the future endeavors and I'll keep an eye out for the GN. |
