I DEMAND more of The Muck!

That Swamp Monster one was by Basil Wolverton and was reprinted (I think) in an issue of "Mr. Monster" I have lying around somewhere.

God I love Mr. Monster...

The Creature in the Black Bog! was in a Spider-man comic at one point I believe. A flashback to a fishing trip with Uncle Ben. I actually think Wieringo drew that one.

Shit, got my monsters mixed up:

Wow, I can see why you never put this in print Clay. One doesn't want to raise the bar too high so early in ones career.

I shall impatiently await the return of the Muck. Bravo.

I was actually surprised how much I liked the writing on the Muck when I pulled it out a while back.

It's a spoof of Marvel's overly verbose and slightly pretentious scripting in the seventies, and it still makes me laugh.

I think the art speaks for itself. Drawn at my first day job on the back of sales invoices.

Not often will I laugh out loud while reading a comic when I'm alone but this one had me rolling a couple times. And it's what? 2 - 3 pages. A large success my friend. If Larsen ever gets hooked on 70s books and deciedes to do a anthology project surrounding that, this better be in there.
