I don't wish to upset my non UK firends on the board but I just read the first part of the Comics International story and its cool.
Dez Skinn was giving you a very nice write up as well - how much did that set you back? |

And just to head off any complaints about this - the main reason for the Comics International strip is to try and get wider exposure for Jack Staff and hopefully pull in a few new readers. If you don't want to get (or can't get) Comics International then don't worry - I do plan on releasing a collected comic when the story is completed - a giant size Jack Staff special or somesuch...
And I didn't pay Dez Skinn a penny for that introductiion. By the same token he's not paying a penny for the strip either....

Paul, just finished reading the final part of this story. It's great! The ending seems a bit rushed though - but I'll probably just have to reread the story entirely...
Still planning to collect it in a separate issue?

A little rushed in a couple of ways - due to an e- mail misunderstanding I thought I had a week and a half to complete the final episode, but I ended up having to do it over a single weekend to meet the deadline (which I did - just) but then for a variety of reasons (nothing to do with me) the magazine still ended up being about a month later than scheduled!
The other thing was I was hoping to have a cople of 8 page episodes to end with, which Dez originally OK'd but then when trying to fit everything planned in realised wouldn't fit so I had 6 pages, whch included the recap page. So I did have to cut a couple of story elements at the last minute including a 2 part epilogue whch would have rounde up a couple of loose ends.
The collected version should be out in Jan 2007, - this will be a revised and expanded version including some edited out sequences and the epilogue section, as well as a few other bonus pages.
It's probably going to be called Jack Staff - the Wierd World Special unles I have any other bright ideas in the next 15 hours.

Okay, so the official title is now 'the Wierd World of Jack Staff King Size Special'!

I'm looking forward to it. Any updates on Burglar Bill 5 & 6? |
