Ok - here's whats happening with Jack Staff - basically there will be no new issues solicited for until January 2008, but once we get there it will be monthly!
That should mean there will be about 6 or 7 issues completed before I start so no future scheduling problems - and if anything does happen then there's plenty of time to take evasive action. Maybe I'll even get to do a Summer Special!

Excellent! Thanks for the update, Paul.
Hopefully the commissions don't throw off the schedule at all...

Does this mean no more issues of Jack Staff this year? Or just no more solicited issues of Jack Staff this year? _________________

I'm not sure what the situation is with issue 14 at the moment, but that is the only issue thats outstanding. Other than that no new issues. I'm probably going to do a stand alone intro issue (all new stuff that is) to kick start things in the new year.

I have not checked out your book but my attention was brought here from Clay's forum. So I'll be checking it out now. Looking forward to Jan, I'm off to track down back issues.... _________________ http://4thworldly.blogspot.com/ |

| A stand alone intro issue would not only be interesting, but a good way for us loyalists to get new readers hooked -- I'd be up for buying extra issues for some of the other regulars at my comic store. I almost did that with the Weird World special, but because it was larger it was a little too pricey. |

A good idea - the January special is the intro issue to give to all your non Jack Staff reading friends - a complete story featuring The Eternal Warrior, Helen Morgan, Tom Tom the Robot Man, Jack Staff and that guy who falls into the mud in issue 11. Also a couple of short stories featuring Sgt States and Morlan the Mystic!
Don't miss it!

JACK STAFF SPECIAL #1
story PAUL GRIST
art & cover PAUL GRIST
He's called Molachi the Immortal. The Eternal Warrior couldn't stop him. Nor could Charlie Raven, the greatest escapologist of the Victorian Age. Now he's turned up in Castletown, and it's Jack Staffs turn to try to stop the unstoppable! This self-contained story is an ideal introduction to JACK STAFF, the critically acclaimed superhero comic, now monthly from Image Comics.
JANUARY 16 o 32 PAGES o FC o $3.50 |

Because it's that awesome. Paul, you don't have a higher resolution scan of that do you? Because it'd look a lot better on my desktop if it was a bit bigger. |

I really relieved to have discovered this site! I was beginning to think Jack Staff had faded away for good.
I'm looking forward to the new stuff in '08! |

It seems Image has been doing a little "house cleaning" with their Diamond solicitations:
MAR051687 D BURGLAR BILL #5 ... 4
OCT051728 D BURGLAR BILL #6 ... 4
SEP061822 D JACK STAFF #14 ... 4
Those are all listed as "cancelled by publisher" among the November cancellations, probably to be resolicited at a later date.
