Man you have a way with women sir Wink

http://www.morethanweimagine.com/podcasts/IRC28.mp3

Before anyone slams L.T she has the right to her opnion and i have to say I agree with some of it. Women buy all types of comics not just manga and it does suck when all they see is big inflatable tits and personally i do think it sends a negative message when giant inflatable tits is all you see or constant rape of women in comics, it just sucks. Okay ill be quiet now.

I like huge inflatable tits on stupid, easily coerced bimbos, who's sole purpose is to bounce around and slut out.....

.....in my comics of course.....

BUT! I also love Tank Girl, who despite being naked quite a bit, has small boobs, burps, farts, drinks, cusses, and kills lots of men.....

so....maybe more women should make comics? Or gay men?

Question

How long do I have to wait to hear something about Mr. Larsen -- I'm about 5 seconds into it, and I'm rather frustrated with her voice *SORRY*

"That's not what he means -- but that's what he's saying" whaaaat?

She says fuck far too much.

Thats funny... Laughing Well duh! she says it at the beging of the podcast that her rant will contain adult language, I think your more anoyed by her tone than by her voice, there is a difference. Geez talk about ADD its only like a minute or two into her podcast that she talks about Larsen. There is far to much sugar in this world... Laughing

I managed to listen to about 10 minutes of it. I don't exactly know entirely what she was bitching about.
I understand some of the things, but...when she goes off saying, "I'm taking his words out of context" [She jokes about it..but, that's what she's doing] and says shit like "That's not what he means -- but that's what he's saying", and goes on ranting...I'm like, "what the fuck are you talking about?"

Although, I'd be willing to listen to her podcast more often if she sent me a photo with a "pussyshot" and some "inflatable tits"

A-ooooo-gah

Ah, wasnt this over the One Fan's opinion that Larsen did talking about how characters drawn distinctly make a differnece, and some femenist got her panties in a bunch and hissed at Larsen's mention of Pahantom Lady? (and ignored his Little Lulu mentions)

Someone should tell her to STFU. "words out of context"?? Talk about whiny b*tch trying to pick a fight with someone for no reason just to add hits to her site.

Really, dont bother entering her site.

Youd just be another idiot giving her another hit to sell to google ad.

I haven't listened to this yet (I will when I get home from work), but surely you can understand this.

What you mean is what you want to say. What you actually say is what other people hear. They're not the same thing.

Sometimes the words and phrasing you choose do not adequately convey your meaning. Misunderstandings arise because what you say doesn't reflect what you really mean.

Sometimes the words you choose reflect certain assumptions you have about the world and these assumptions are communicated through your words.

Sometimes you haven't thought the issue through from all perspectives and you therefore don't understand all of the ramifications of what you're saying.

Anyway, not saying I agree with this podcast as I haven't listened to it yet. But there's nothing difficult to understand about the sentence you quoted.

The point is, she's able to see and realize that what he's saying didn't mean such-and-such ... so why does she need to complain?

Exactly! She clearly states that she is taking his words out of context. Then she goes off on a rant over something that is taken out of context. The strength of her whole argument is taken out before she even began bitching. Yet she bitches anyway.

I don't care that she did, this is America freedom of speech and all, but I know if I ever see or hear anything from her I'm out. She can say what she wants to say but I aint gonna listen.

In her words "fuck that."

I love that collumn Erik writes. It's like having an uncle who's been there and done that and makes no bones about it. He shouldn't have to censor his thoughts, there his thoughts for cryin out loud. I'm willing to concede that I could be wrong but ............... you know what I mean.

Yeah, but you know, when women cuss, it's like, a self-empowering statement against patriarchical oppression. When men do it, it's just because they're filthy chauvinist pigs who are to blame for everything.

Rolling Eyes

Swearing is, in most cases, nothing more than laziness. If you can't make an argue, just swear a bunch and maybe no one will notice. Confused

I clicked on the link above and it didn't work. So instead I'm listening to the new Beth Orton album. I think I made out alright. Very Happy

That certainly appears to be the plan in this particular case. Although I didn't know "argue" was a noun now.

That's true! *is lazy*

If I want to be, I can be articulate and intelligent. I did fairly well at school and appear to be smarter than most of my friends. I enjoy debating (well, arguing, really) with people as it's fun to wind someone up over something pretty trivial. It's a good way to pass the time.

However, I'd rather just tell someone to fuck off if they're annoying me. Sure, I could debate about it but that takes me away from my busy moments of... thinking about naked ladies, or drinking, or reading comics, or whatever.

Plus, the people I work with all have a bizarre love/hate relationship with one another where we constantly swear and insult at each other. Our managers don't like it but it keeps us having fun.

I enjoy swearing sometimes just to upset certain people. The amount of people that are offended by "cunt" when it's only a word is stupid. Sure, it depends in what context you use it but it's not something I would personally find offensive, such as a racial slur. Besides, if you're insulting someone by calling them a cunt... well, what's wrong with a cunt anyway? Most straight men or lesbian women seem to enjoy them!

*swears some more, is slapped by disgusted mother*
