Think Tank by Matt Hawkins and Rahsan Ekedal also debuted yesterday! Here’s a round-up of reviews:

“Image has another strong concept comic book that just so happens to have very good art. If science is your thing and you’re looking for a comic to enable a scientific geekout, then give ‘Think Tank- a peek.”
-Doug Zawisza, Comic Book Resources

“Think Tank is a great introduction story that really plays up the main character. We meet the entire cast and get some backstory while advancing the current narrative. There aren’t a lot of twists and turns, but the ride is thrilling nonetheless. Think Tank is definitely one to check out. The series has a massive amount of potential energy, to put it science-y.”
-Comic Book Therapy

“Think Tank has all the hallmarks of a series that I’ll love: great humor, 80′s movie references, cool t-shirts, awesome character, charming premise, and an alluring fight-the-power theme. I have a hunch that this one is going to make my must-read list.”
-Geeks of Doom

“Think Tank‘s David Loren’s mind is expansive, a world of endless possibility. And so we have images bursting out of their panels, and busy, bustling layouts. There’s also a few comedic beats in here – including a standout sequence involving a highly inventive college revenge prank – which Ekedal nails. With Think Tank #1, Rahsan Ekedal adds versatility to his growing list of atributes.”
-John Lees, Comix Tribe

“Writer Matt Hawkins does a good job of creating a compelling cast of characters that each play a important role in the overall story. As a lead protagonist Dr. David Loren plays likeable slacker perfectly and it’s easy for readers to identify with his plight. Hawkins dialogue is spot on, his pacing keeps the story moving and there is never a dull moment in the entire issue.

“Ekedal’s artwork is simply stunning and he turns out some astonishing pages. The stark contrast of black and white mixed with Ekedal’s washes make the art pop off the page. His strong grasp on storytelling allow him to suck the reader in for the more intimate moments and also make the action sequences look epic in scope. Ekedal makes “Think Tank” look like a blockbuster movie on the printed page and he remains one of the hidden gems of the comic book industry.”
-Bloody Disgusting

“Think Tank is a very good story with engaging characters. Hawkins has gone out of his way to make the characters real, and not cartoony, and it makes for a quality book.”
