THE AMAZING JOY BUZZARDS, VOL. 2 #5 titled "THE NIGHT OF A THOUSAND LUCHADORES!" premieres this week and it's a story that I'm very excited about because it is the origin story of El Campeon. This was most likely the second or third Amazing Joy Buzzards story that I'd ever written.

Doug Holgate came in to tell the Big Guy's origin story and did a wonderful job and it's just like I imagined it when writing the story. This issue is more rare and if you buy the trades you should pick this one up because it's not in the AJB Vol. 2 Trade and also will not be in any of the upcoming trades for a while because those are more continuity intensive and to include it would breakup the story that Dan and I have in store for you which is nothing short of epic.

So it will be a very long time indeed before El Campeon's origin story finds itself collected making a rare treasure and if you want to read it, it can only be found in singles format.
