Crosland Does The Amazing Joy Buzzards (eeew!)
That's right, folks! Ring in the New Year like a dog in heat!
Um, I have no idea what that means, but I do know that Jim Mahfood and I (Dave Crosland. Duh.) are rocking the guest artists slot on Amazing Joy Buzzards Vol. 2, Issue #4! Jim and Mark Smith cooked up a dope little diddy featuring everybody's favorite visual mutes, Stevo and Smoke Dog. And yours truly got to breakdance battle with Mr. Smith (Mark, not Brad Pitt) on an 18-page messfest called "Mars Needs Kittens". Basically, Martians invade Earth for our precious supply of kitty cats. And, por supuesto, the Buzzards and El Campeon are the only ones who can save the day.
The book hits newsstands on January 11th, 2006, and officially kicks off the year of the Hiredmeat Invasion. In the meantime, put on some warm mittens and sink your chops into these sketches from my end of the collaboration, along with a couple sneak peek pages!
